Visit to GEEIA by S/L Fletcher
Gap Filler Radar Stations
It is requested that the following questions be discussed by S/L Fletcher on his visit to GEEIA on or about 20 Oct 59:
- Is there any requirement for cooling water by electronic equipment in building?
- Is there any requirement for heating or air conditioning controls on temperature or humidity by electronic equipment?
- Is a copy of technical specifications for building (AW-60-03-01-54 CE) available?
- Is a copy of drawing showing Interior Equipment Assembly AN/FPS 18 Final Issue available? Our copies are marked preliminary.
- Has USAF designed building AW-60-03-01 been constructed anywhere?
- Is there any objection to a fireproof door between radar and power rooms?
- As there will be at least four (4) sites on which it will be uneconomical to construct the power facilities at the top of the hill, is there any objection to installing the power control equipment in the radar room?
