Reproducible Drawings and
Design Analysis of Gap Filler Towers
A number of Gap Filler towers are scheduled for construction as a part of the CADIN Programme in Canada. Eight to ten consultants will be site adapting the towers for 45 locations at approximately the same time.
The following prints have been obtained through our normal contacts with ADSID and GEEIA:
One (1) set prints of Erection and Shop Drawings for Tower AB467One (1) set prints of Design Drawings for Tower AB554, ie extension for Tower AB509
MITRE, at the request of ADSID, is reported to be making transparencies of the Erection and Shop Drawings for Tower AB467.
In order to furnish the Consultants with a print of the towers to be used at each of the sites, we have an urgent requirement for transparencies of design drawings for Towers AB554 and AB509. It would also be most desirable to obtain a set of Technical Specifications for Towers AB467, AB554 and AB509.
Through experience in the past with towers erected in Canada, it has been found essential to have a complete copy of the design analysis of the structural, mechanical and electrical portions. The design analysis is used to determine whether or not revised or operational equipment can be placed on the tower at the same time the operational necessity for additional or changes in equipment is studied. The analysis is also desirable from a maintenance standpoint. The technical data contained in Enclosures 1 and 2 are on hand; however, this does not satisfy the requirement. The design analysis is required for Gap Filler Towers AB467, AB509 and AB554.
We will be most appreciative if the above information can be furnished at your earliest convenience.
The proprietory right on the information will be respected by the Department of National Defence.
