Removal and Replacing of Forestry Towers

Please refer to your letter of 31 July, 1961, with which you forwarded a copy of a letter from the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests granting authority for our replacement of the present fire lookout towers at six Gap Filler Sites.
The provincial proposal to the effect that the towers will be dismantled by our contractors is being reviewed by our project engineers. It is suggested that your agents inform the Department of Lands and Forests that the question of dismantling of the existing towers is being studied and that further information in this regard will be passed to you early next month.
