Re: Progress Report No 4
Maritime Gap Filler Stations
Dear Sir:
Further to our Progress Report No 3 dated 25 November 1959 enclosed please find a Progress Report covering work completed to 30 January 1960
New Yarmouth, Nova Scotia
Todd Mountain, New Brunswick
St Joseph, Nova Scotia
Alder River, Nova Scotia
Mount Carleton, New Brunswick
Les Etroits, New Brunswick
Scotch Settlement No 2
There has been no field work carried out with regards to Springton No 2. Weather permitting field work will be started in early April.
With regards to Progress Claim No 4 it will be noted that field survey expenditures for the six completed sites are slightly in excess of the amounts estimated in our letter of 11 December 1959. These minor over-expenditures were due to additional information requested by RCAF on the various reports, additional work required in producing Mount Carleton and Les Etroits reports and the rental of equipment and vehicle which was overlooked in our summary. However, no increase in the individual estimates on the six completed sites is required if the following suggestion is accepted.
As noted in your letters charges to the general account are being kept to a minimum in all future work.
Sincerely yours,
WH CRANDALL & ASSOCIATES
