TERMINATION OF CONSTRUCTION
GAP FILLER RADAR STATIONS

SITES: Algonquin Park, Belleterre, Elliot Lake, Formosa Relocated, Lac Ste Marie, Nicolet, Scotch Settlement Relocated, St Joseph, Timmins, Tobermory.

CONDITIONS:

  1. All work called for in the buildings shall be completed except for the installation of the diesel generator set and its associated equipment. All work called for under security fencing, fuel oil storage, electrical grounding, grading and clean-up shall be completed.

  2. No further work shall be done on the access road except that the beginning of the road shall be closed with a 14 ft farm type gate, wood posts, braced on hanging side, 48 inch 9 gauge farm type fencing.

  3. All doors of the two buildings and covered entrance shall be locked and the keys turned over to a CCE/Inspector.

  4. All openings in the two buildings shall be sealed both from the outside and the inside using waterproof plywood or equivalent. Any pipes extending outside the building shall be capped. The two louvres shall be sealed from the outside.

  5. The leaders from the eavestrough on the Power & Accommodation Buildings shall be disconnected so that the rain water will not enter the building. The storage tanks shall be drained.

  6. The site and the access road shall be cleaned-up to the satisfaction of the RCAF and the Department of Lands and Forests or owner.

  7. Any minor item, which in the opinion of DCL should not be completed, shall be brought to the attention of the RCAF Project Officer for a decision.

  8. Any incidental material or equipment, which cannot be installed as the result of the above conditions, shall be stored in the buildings and a list of such material or equipment prepared and given to a CCE/Inspector.

  9. Tobermory, Timmins, St Joseph, Nicolet

    The diesel alternator set and its associated equipment, which has been shipped by Sheridan Equipment Limited, shall be re-crated for shipment. Separate instructions willbe forwarded regarding shipment.
