M & R 39(d)-'57. Ordered that, under authority of The Crown lands Act, chapter 174 of The Revised Statutes of Newfoundland, 1952, as amended, the adminstration, management and control of the surface right in pieces of land situate at Fox Harbour in the District of Labrador South, as more particularly described hereafter, be transferred to Her Majesty the Queen in the right of Canada for use in connection with the Mid-Canada Line and to revert to Her Majesty the Queen in the right of the Province of Newfoundland in the event that they cease to be used for such purposes at any time:-
DESCRIPTION
Beginning at a point in the eastern shore of Fox Harbour at highwater mark, the said point being marked by a steel pin set in concrete; then running by Crown land south fifty degrees forty-eight minutes east four hundred and ninety-eight feet; then south thirty-one degrees forty-five minutes west four hundred and sixty-nine feet; thence north fifty-seven degrees fifty-five minutes west three hundred and ninety-seven feet; thence turning and running along the aforesaid eastern shore of Fox harbour in a general northeasterly direction five hundred and sixty-two feet more or less to the point of beginning and containing an area of two decimal six five acres. All bearings are referred to the true meridian.
Also all that other piece or parcel of land being a strip of land lying between two parallel lines distant fifty feet from and on opposite sides of a centre line described as follows: beginning at a point in the northern boundary of the area hereinbefore described, the said point being two hundred and fifteen feet on a bearing south fifty degrees forty-eight minutes east from the northernmost angle of the said area; thence running left along the arc of a curve of eleven degrees a distance of one hundred and ninety-one feet; thence north fifty-eight degrees nine minutes east two hundred and sixty feet and four-tenths of a foot; thence to the right along the arc of a curve of thirty-eight degrees a distance of one hundred and five feet; thence south eighty-one degrees fifty-seven minutes east one hundred and seventy-two feet and one-tenth of a foot; thence to the left along the arc of the curve of forty degrees one hundred and twenty-four feet and five tenths of a foot; thence north forty-eight degrees fifteen minutes east seventy-nine feet and six-tenths of a foot; thence to the right along the arc of a curve of one hundred and four degrees one minute one hundred and thirty-seven feet and four tenths of a foot; thence south eleven degree twenty-five minutes west one hundred and thirteen feet and one-tenth of a foot; thence to the left along the arc of a curve of eleven degrees one hundred and forty-two feet and five-tenths of a foot; thence south four degreees fifteen minutes east seventeen feet and four-tenths of a foot; thence to the left along the arc of a curve of eighty-two degrees one hundred and sixty-two feet and six-tenths of a foot; thence north forty-two degrees forty minutes east sixty-eight feet and eight-tenths of a foot; thence to the right along the arc of a curveof twenty-eight degrees two hundred and twenty-one feet and one tenth of a foot; thence south seventy-five degrees twenty-five minutes east two hundred and fifty-three feet and five tenths of a foot; thence to the left along the arc of a curve of twenty-seven degrees two hundred and seven feet and eight-tenths of a foot; thence north forty-eight degrees twenty-nine minutes east one hundred and thirty feet and two-tenths of a foot; thence to the right along the arc of a curve of fourteen degrees twenty minutes one hundred and seventy-four feet and nine-tenths of a foot; thence north seventy-three degrees thirty-three minutes east one hundred and fifty-nine feet and eight-tenths of a foot; thence to the left along the arc of a curve of firty-seven degrees one hundred and thirty-eight feet and one-tenths of a foot; thence north eight degrees thirty-nine minutes east forty-six feet and three-tenths of a foot and containing an area of six point nine acres. All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
Also all that other piece or parcel of land abutted and bounded as follows: beginning at the easternmost point of the northern boundary of the area hereinbefore described; thence running along the easter boundary of the said area and by Crown land south eighty-one degrees twenty-one minutes east five hundred and sixty-three feet; thence by Crown land north twenty-nine degrees thirty-four minutes east eight hundred and thirty-two feet; thence south seventy-eight degrees thirty-seven minutes east ninety-six feet; thence north seventy-nine degrees fifty-seven minutes east two hundred and fifty-seven feet; thence north sixty-two degrees twenty-one minutes east one hundred and seventy-two feet; thence north fourteen degrees thirty-five minutes east one thousand one hundred feet; thence north seventy-seven degrees thirty-two minutes west one thousand and seventy-two feet; thence south nine degrees thirty minutes west one thousand three hundred and twenty-seven feet; thence south twenty-three degrees forty-five minutes east twenty-two feet; thence south sixty degrees twenty-three minutes west two hundred and fifty-two feet; thence to the left along the arc of a curve having a radius of four hundred and nine feet and three-tenths of a foot a distance of four hundred and fifteen feet and three-tenths of a foot; thence south eight degrees thirty-nine minutes west two hundred and fifty-two feet more or less to the point of beginning and containing an area of forty-one decomal two six acres. All bearings being referred to the true meridan.
