I refer to your letter of 31 July, 1961, your file 1653-778 (RE), respecting the Permission to Enter obtained from Mr Harvie Ritchie who is reluctant to complete an option until the exact siting of the access road is known.
The departmental engineers have advised that the siting of this facility, including its access road, will not be determined definitely until fall. These engineers are, however, aware of the situation pertaining to Mr Ritchie's property and every effort will be made to prevent any unnecessary severance.
You will be advised immediately the exact siting of this facility is known, and, in the meantime, it would appear that no further effort need be made to obtain an option from this owner.
