Paul Gratton graduated as an Air Defence Technician (AD Tech) on course 6602 at Lac St. Denis. He was on TD with a group at 4 Wing on some kind of general duty. At that time the Wing Operations section was undermanned, so Paul and another AD Tech named Joe Magauhey (spelling may not be correct) were posted to Wing Ops. Paul had recently purchased a new BMW, which he was very proud of, but unfortunately after a little too much celebrating one night, he collided with a tree at a very high speed just outside of 4 Wing. I was working midnight shift and we took the call early that morning.
