27 October 1967 - LAC DJ "David" Andrews
Comments:
I am proud to say that LAC David Andrews was my room mate. He was a Fire Fighter stationed at 3 (F) Wing, Zweibrucken Germany at the time of his death.
He was a nice young fellow from Newfoundland and had only been in Zweibrucken for about six months when he was killed. Dave was downtown with a friend of his touring the local bars. They got into a fight with some local German nationals and Dave died as a result of the injuries he received in the fight. I seem to recall it was ruled as manslaughter by the German court. Regardless - it was a very sad situation.
