YJ reported that HMP lead of a section of 4 IDF in difficulty with right aileron U/S and controls sticking, height 32000, possibility of bail out. Helicopter scrambled from Ramstein to 2 (F) Wing. The pilot bailed out at 0847. Report received from helicopter that the crash occurred at Lichtenburg and two houses are burning. Crash resulted in two civilian fatalities. Track #81L, proceeding from behind Iron Curtain (lf1030) squawking emergency, identified as Ht1. Advised by 4ATAF that there is a 170 mile per hour jet stream in the area. HT1 landed at Rhein Main at 1201 short of fuel.

Number 4 of SBS IDF Section experiencing aileron control difficulties. Search and Rescue were alerted but SBS4 landed safely at 0951 at 3 (F) Wing.

Langar reported that track JAG 26 an F86 had crashed on the Isle of Man, after the pilot bailed out. This information was changed at 1106 that JAG26 was a USAF 102 and the USAF had everything under control. SOS in HD4540 – Chopstick A diverted to intercept. CHA escorted to SOS, a French F-84, into Strasbourg and then landed at Bitburg, short of fuel at 1451Z.

SOS occurred in JH1040. HTK2 had engine trouble and under Sembach control. Pilot bailed out 5 miles east of Sembach and was picked up by an US Army helicopter which was airborne. Section was airborne on local training. Hopscotch 93 declared an SOS due to fire warning light, but landed safely at 0939. A SOS appeared in JH1040. Identified as Polio 92 a USAF102 under Sembach control. Polio 92 landed at Ramstein at 1151, low on fuel. HMP2 declared an emergency due to intermittent flame outs, and was handed back from Boxcar to YJ control. YJ handed over control to Sembach and the Section landed there safely at 1238Z.

Yellowjack reports Catfish 7 has experienced a flame out in the Etain area. Search and Rescue alerted. CHD vectored to investigate. Chambley reports an aircraft crash 3 miles west of Chambley and helicopter scrambled from Toul. Chambley reports sighting a parachute and YJ report chaff return. CHD has spotted a Canadian T-33, relatively intact with canopy and two seats missing. Both occupants OK and now in Chambley Infirmary

Report of suspected mid air collision in the Arres area by Romilly. After a thorough check of all Air Division aircraft it was reported at 1630Z, that the crash was a collision between two cars followed by an explosion.

61 AC&W Squadron reports Stopgap Alpha on Scan Plan exercise has declared an emergency over Zweibrucken. While under Zweibrucken control due to low fuel state. Because of weather Stopgap Alpha diverted to Ramstein under Logroll and landed 1318Z.

Catfish Bravo declared an emergency in KE3022, short of fuel. This aircraft landed safely at Sembach at 1337Z.

2 Wing received report from civilian source that an aircraft had crashed and was burning, approximately 4 miles north of their station. HMC2 called in to YJ on climb out, going to check on crash info but no contact with HMC1. Horseman Charlie 2 confirms fire at the above location. Ground party unable to confirm any casualties because aircraft is badly burned. W/C Murray reported 3 flying boots found and additional information has been passed to AOC and W/C Brown.

Student November #3 bailed out. Parachute visible. Position ED1055. Pilot seen on the ground by Student November 4. Vehicle picking up pilot in open ground.

First Intelligence (synthetic) reports on Exercise Co-op. Exercise Co-op effective 0637Z. This is an AIRCENT sponsored exercise involving all formations in Central Europe. It is to be played in two phases. Phase I will be a day phase and phase II will be a night phase.

Mid air collision between Yardarm Tango 243 in HB2020, on practice scramble against Horseman Q section. Air Rescue alerted to call 3 Wing tower after take off. Tango 4 reported seeing one bail out. Wreckage of one aircraft reported near Niederaurback. 3 Wing tower report parachute drifting in Ramstein Area. The second helicopter is scrambled. Helicopter picked up one pilot and proceeded to 3 Wing. 3 Wing report the second aircraft has been reached and the pilot is in the cockpit.

G/C McNair (Jailer 1) landed with 3 minutes fuel at 2 (F) Wing following declaration of emergency and flying distress patterns. Escorted to GCA by Horseshoe Papa.

Yellowjack reports that one of Hornet Juliet Section has ejected over 3 (F) Wing. Helicopter scrambled. 3 (F) Wing reports, pilot has been picked dup and is OK.

Strongbox Romeo under Boxcar control declared SOS and was handed back to YJ. SOS was a flame out and after a successful relight landed at 3 (F) Wing at 1541.

Crash reported by 3 (F) Wing, 7 miles north of station. Crash confirmed to be Madcap India lead on flight from 2 (F) Wing to 3 (F) Wing. Pilot ejected while under GCA control and was picked up OK at 1143Z.

Sandal Tango on Exercise Roulette diverted to SOS over Hahn by Legreil. SOS was a German AF F84F who had lost his radio. Sandal Tango escorted him into Buchel.

General de Gaulle invokes special powers. Radio reports all flying over French territory restricted. Notam received forbidding all foreign national civil and military over France.
