To review operational commitments assigned to 1 Air Division by 4 ATAF and to allocate priorities.

To interpret these commitments into missions and allocate them to the TACC. The size of the effort allotted to specific missions will be assigned at the discretion of the AOC as the situation demands.

To receive and maintain by means of display boards the status of the combat capability of the Air Division in terms of aircraft, personnel, logistic state, airfield, and facility serviceability.

The maintain the maximum possible efficiency and combat capability of the fighting forces and the Air Division by means of the judicious employment of forces and the distribution and possible reallocation of personnel, spares, equipment, POL and ammo in accordance with the requirements of the moment.

To advise HQ 4 ATAF of the current operational status of 1 Air Div forces and to provide a forecast of the combat potential as required.

To provide technical advice to all Air Div units through the medium of the Technical and Logistic Team situated within the HQ.

g

In peacetime the staff function is to prepare, co-ordinate and revise exercise operations orders.

Responsible for the efficient administration, standard of aircrew training and flying operations of the squadron.

Efficient execution of operations and operations exercises as directed by the Sector Commander.

Supervision of Squadron Maintenance, line servicing and daily inspections of Squadron aircraft.

Maintain close liaison with CAdO, CTechSO and Cops ServO concerning operational commitments, administrative matters and training of personnel.

Personnel administration except records and movements.

Recommend to the CO, action to be taken on squadron pilots who: (i) fail to complete the minimum number of T-33 sorties with Wing Instrument Flight. (ii) Fail to obtain a satisfactory instrument standard, and (iii) have permitted their instrument rating to expire.

Maintain close liaison with the CTechSO and CAdO and Squadron OCs on administrative and training matters.

Arrange courses.
