APPENDIX: "A" - Details of Instruction

INFORMATION

Because of the number of amendments to the organization order for 2450 Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron (Auxiliary) RCAF (2450 AC&W Sqn (Aux)) which have been necessary, it has been decided that, for clarity and ease of reference, the organization of this Unit will be re-defined.

INTENTION

To re-define the organization for 2450 AC&W Sqn (Aux) RCAF, Sherbrooke, PQ.

EXECUTION

Effective Date

The provisions of the OrgO are to become effective 1 Dec 53.

Role

The role of this Sqn is to:

1. Train reserve personnel in all aspects of aircraft control and warning operations.

2. Maintain and operate radar and communications facilities as directed by the Gp Cdr, 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, Montreal.

Command

The officer appointed to command 2450 ACW Sqn (Aux) is to be the Commanding Officer as defined by QR (Air) art 1.02 (xxi) (a) (iii).

Control

Control of this squadron is to be exercised by the Gp Cdr, 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, Montreal through the CO 11 Operational Wing HQ (Aux) Montreal.

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

Establishment

Establishment codes 120 GG 623 and 220 GG 623 (formerly R102 ACWA and 6135 2450) are to remain in effect.

Personnel

The transfer or posting of personnel is to be arranged by AFHQ and theAOC ADC.

Accounting

Pay and equipment accounting is to be provided by 1 Gp HQ (Aux) AUC.

Expenditures are to be charged to Vote 600, except pay and allowances and travel and transportation of Reserve personnel which are to be charged to Vote 601.

For the purpose of QR (Air) art 205.30 and AFAO F5.30, this Sqn is not designated a flying unit.

Supply

The provision of materiel is to be arranged by 1 Gp HQ (Aux) AUC and the AOC AMC.

Accommodation

Working and domestic accommodation is to be arranged by the AOC ADC through the Gp Cdr 1 Gp (Aux) RCAF, Montreal.
