RTTP summer training scheme starts with 80 students. Fighter Control Operator is the only trade that will be taught. Staff consists of four Regular Force FtrCOp instructors ie two Cpls and two A/Cpls.

Summer camp at RCAF Stn Ste Marie is attended by 17 officers and 19 airmen from 15-30 July.

P/O C Taylor attends contact training at ADC on Security from 9 - 12 Aug inclusive.

S/L Beaudet SASO from No 1 Gp HQ visits Unit to discuss summer and winter training.

RTTP training terminated for summer of 1955. Of 80 enlistments, 21 were discharged during the summer as unsuitable or undesirable. Of 59 who wrote trade tests, 39 were successful and 20 failed. Of 39 who passed, 25 transferred to the Auxiliary, 11 to Supplementary Reserve. Of 20 who failed, 11 were discharged and nine remained with the Auxiliary hoping to pass their trade test in December.

S/L Baynton ADC SORP, S/L Bell No 1 Gp and Mr Doucet of 1 Gp visited Unit to discuss personnel, Administrative and Civilian employees' problems.

G/C Richer, Group Commander paid an informal visit to the Unit. S/L Levesque accompanied him.
22 - 23 Oct 55
Five officers and four airmen attended weekend training at Stn St Sylvestre. No intercepts could be completed.
5 - 6 Nov 55
Four controllers and 12 airmen proceeded on TD to Stn St Sylvestre for weekend training. Total of 18 live intercepts were attempted, all of which were completed and successful.
19 - 20 Nov 55
Eleven Officers and 15 airmen to parent Unit for weekend training.
23 Nov 55
S/L Kempster CEO No 1 Gp HQ visits Unit to discuss and appraise alterations to Officers' Mess.
25 Nov 55
S/L O'Boyle, CO and F/L Cameron, CAdO attend Mess Dinner at Stn St Sylvestre.
