In June the Sqn held a Banquet to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Squadron's formation. Senior Officers from the three Services were present. Press and TV coverage was obtained.
19 Jun 60
Also to celebrate the 10th Anniversary, a Squadron Church Parade was organized at Mt Thabor Church in Quebec. The Squadron paraded through the streets with Officers and Airmen from CEPE, Quebec, and the Quebec Air Cadets Squadron. W/C Smith of CARDE took the March Pass. Six flights were on parade.
Jul 60
Summer Camp took place at Stn St Sylvestre in the usual manner. Camp training was a complete success.
Jul - Aug 60
RTTP Training in the year 1960 was the most successful ever held at this Unit producing the highest average ever obtained, and no failures. A graduation dinner was held, with Press coverage.
Sep 60
Local training began in September after the usual summer leave. The Sqn took part in the Battle of Britain Sunday Parade with inspection by the Governor General Mr Vanier. There was a short reception at the Officers Mess following the Parade.
Oct 60
The only activity held in October was a Mess Dinner.
October 1960 was the first month of Operation under the reduced establishment imposed by ADCHQ.
It was also announced to Squadron members that the Unit would disband on the 1 Jan 62.
Nov 60
The Squadron participated in the Remembrance Day Parade along with the Army and Navy.
Dec 60
The Squadron launched its Annual Charity Campaign, to help some of the less fortunate families in the Quebec area. Over $400.00 worth of good was distributed in the form of "Christmas Basket" to 15 families in the need of help.
