11 Dec 54
The Sqn visited 11 AC&WS, Lac St Denis. Five live interceptions were carried out. There was no synthetic trainer at the station so that more time was given to surveillance and lecture.
16 Dec 54
Examination on all phases of FtrC training with exception of GCI work on scopes was given to all controllers.
A female officer, P/O H Germain (URTP) was recruited and is being employed on administration duties which will include handling of problems of female personnel of the squadron.
17 Dec 54
A female Clk Typist was also TOS for OR duties. The CO and 16 officers of the Sqn attended a Mess Dinner at Stn Hubert. Informative and enjoyable.

A children's Christmas Party was held and was very successful.
19 Dec 54
Ftr COps trade examination. Fourteen (14) standard group Ftr COps and two (2) Ftr C wrote the exam.
8 - 9 Jan 55
Lac St Denis - 27 live interceptions carried out.
20 Jan 55
S/L Mahoney and Captain Kitchings of 11 AC&WS visited this Sqn and new forms for progress records of Ftr C were discussed. During this visit, the above mentioned officers saw the normal working of the Sqn on a normal training night and also discussed future working of operational and academic training at 11 AC&WS.

Lac St Denis - 9 live interceptions.
30 Jan 55
The CO and 8 (eight) staff officers of 2400 AC&WS (Aux) visited this Squadron and discussed training and administration problems.
During January, 153 synthetic interceptions were completed at this Sqn which is presently working 4 nights per week to allow FtrC as much opportunity for working on the scopes as possible.
No recruiting was carried out during Jan.
5 - 6 Feb 55
Lac St Denis - 14 (fourteen) live intercepts completed. Ftr COps were given Radar Theory lecture.
12 Feb 55
Valentine Dance was held for Airmen and proved very successful.
18 Feb 55
1 R&C Unit and this Sqn held a successful Radar Ball at Sheraton Mt Royal Hotel. The AOC, Air Defence Command, and the Group Commander were among the distinguished guests.
19 - 20 Feb 55
Lac St Denis - 16 (sixteen) live interceptions were carried out.
21 Feb 55
Recruiting started for RTTP. Indoctrination phase to commence approximately on 23 Apr 55.
24 Feb 55
"D" Flight FtrC were given Mid-term examination. 3 failed, 25 passed.
28 Feb 55
F/L Philp succeeded F/L Cutting as OC "D" (FtrC) Flight. F/L Cutting replaced F/L Webb (who was granted leave of absence) as GCI instructor.
Mar 55
A release center has been organized in order to release all personnel not being retained by 1 R&C Unit. F/O Dooner has been placed in charge of release.
Security Officer is completing D26 action on all personnel not yet cleared.
RTTP recruiting has passed the one hundred mark.
19 - 20 Mar 55
Personnel of Red and White Flights (FtrC) wrote trade examinations. "B" Flight have been checked out on Phase 2 of FtrC training. (12 evaluated, 11 passed).

First papers for Auxiliary Officers' Qualifying Examinations were written.
FtrC Training for those checked out on Phase 2 has now been switched to practical ops room work and FtrCOps are now working also on the practical side of GCI in preparation for Summer Camp.
Apr 55
Results of FtrCOp trade examinations (Red & White flights) in March have been most gratifying with an overall percentage of passes in Gps 1, 2 & 3 of over 80%.

Lac St Denis - 14 (fourteen) live interceptions completed.
New synthetic exercises have been prepared and are now being used in the operations room under F/L Skelly.
F/L EG Richmond assumed the duties of COpsO vice F/L SR Moore who is presently at Three Rivers on attachment to that section of the Bell Telephone Company.
23 Apr 55
RTTP Saturday training started on time and off to a good start under S/L JFC Barrie.
F/O Bergum has taken over the position of Squadron Adjt.
A new Station Fund Committee as well as an Officers' Mess Committee were elected.
7 - 8 May 55
Lac St Denis - 5 live intercepts completed.
12 May 55
A Fire Committee was appointed.
21 - 22 May 55
Lac St Denis - 3 live interceptions carried out.
Three Ftr C given preliminary phases of evaluation in Phase 3 (final phase) of Ftr C training.
In May, little academic training was given as most work is concentrated on the operational phase for the period prior to Summer Camp. A total of 413 synthetic interceptions were completed during May.
Administrative arrangements for Summer Camp periods at Lac St Denis were completed this month.
