Signal to advise of phasing out. ADC PR 397......."the advent of SAGE into the North American Air Defence System and its introduction into Canada in 1961 will mean a change-over from manual opertion of radars to semi-automatic system thereby eliminating the requirement for an auxiliary backup to the regular force squadron. Phasing out of the auxiliary aircraft control and warning squadrons will therefore begin next year, and it will be carried out over the next two years".
