The following personnel from 2403 Sqn enrolled for a projectionist course given by 5 Air Division Librarian Miss Ann Miller, and certificates were received for successful completion of course, based on written and oral examinations by Miss Miller.

The last parade prior to Christmas standdown. Sqn members with dependents attended a Christmas party sponsored by RCAF Station Calgary for the benefit of children of RCAF personnel attached to RCAF Station Calgary and 30 Wing.

First parade after Christmas standdown. Received confirmation of promotion to F/L of F/O FJ Marsh COpsO and F/O JF Fenwick OC Support.
17 Jan 57
Commenced rehearsal for Wing Parade in honor of Jan 27th visit to RCAF Station Calgary, by 5 Air Division Commander A/C AD Ross.
26 Jan 57
Officers of RCAF Station Calgary, including 16 members of 2403 Sqn attended a Mess Dinner with the following guests in attendance.

27 Jan 57
The official handing over ceremony took place at 1500 hours in the drill hall. At this time RCAF Station Calgary, and 30 Wing HQ (Aux) were transferred from Air Defence Command to Training Command. A/C AD Ross made the official announcement. The transfer was completed by A/C HHC Rutledge's speech of acceptance. During the ceremony A/C AD Ross presented S/L FE Clarke, Commanding Officer of 2403 Sqn with the official squadron badge. After which the officers entertained their wives and guests at a tea party held in the officers mess.

The Officers and wives enjoyed a skating party followed by a barbecue at the officers mess.
7 Feb 57
2403 Sqn had a unit party for the purpose of acquainting new members to the squadron. S/L FE Clarke, Commanding Officer, welcomed the newly enrolled personnel, after which the entertainment committee presented a well organized social programme.
13 Mar 57
F/L MM Rutherford Pers/EdO from 5 Air Division visited the squadron for the purpose of discussing the 1957 RTTP training programme.
A Commanding Officers parade was held, at which time S/L FE Clarke presented awards for proficiency to the following personnel.

G/C JADB Richer accompanied by S/L RG Moir and S/L AA Kempster from ADC visited 2403 Sqn for the purpose of discussing the role and problems of the AC&W units. S/L KA Wark SOPC was also in attendance.
17 Apr 57
F/L MM Rutherford Pers/EdO 5 Air Division and S/L FR Sarty ADCHQ proceeded to 2403 Sqn for the purpose of a staff visit to discuss unit problems.
28 Apr 57
The Commanding Officer held a conference for the purpose of discussing and submitting recommendations on the proposed new establishment. The following personnel were in attendance.

Commanding Officers Parade.
9 May 57
F/L AB Cavanaugh SOSec 5 Air Division and F/L D Howell Stn Trenton visited 2403 Sqn for the purpose of discussing security clearances and policy of procedure in application for new identification cards to all auxiliary personnel.
25 May 57
Seven Officers and fifteen NCO's and airmen proceeded to Sea Island and 5 Air Division on a weekend training programme.
30 May 57
The entertainment committee organized a weiner roast for all unit personnel. This was the first squadron outing and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
