Two flights of airmen with officers of this unit participated in the annual Newfoundland Memorial Day. S/L Bullock, CO, laid a wreath at the cenotaph.

A Communications Mobile Repair Party (MRP) from Northern Electric Company, visited RCAF Station Gander during the period 6th to 30th Aug 56. The purpose of this visit was to overhaul all Communications equipment at the station. Mobile Repair Parties of this type have just recently been introduced into the RCAF Maintenance Organization and this was the first visit to RCAF Station Gander.

This unit participated in Exercise "Sneaky Pete II" with the 64th Air Division USAF. S/L D Bullock, CO, proceeded on TD to ADCHQ for purpose of staff visit.

ADCHQ security penetration team visited this Unit for the purpose of testing security defences of the Unit. All penetrators stopped before high security areas reached.
