The Fire Truck had been brought down near the guard house to wash the eggs, salmon heads and other assorted Mess Hall garbage off the road after the exercise was completed. In a fit of excitement, the volunteer firemen turned the hose on the rioters. It was very cold in April - and the riot ended abruptly.
Oh yes - by the way - the BDF won!
