Special Service equipment finally arrived on 11 July 1958, there is now a good selection of boats and motors, etc. An acceptance inspection of Electronic and Communication equipment by 4602nd Support Group was held on 20 July 1958, limited facility acceptance by Representatives of 4602nd Support Group and Middletown Air Material Area, has put the squadron on a limited sustained operation. On the 23rd of August 1958, Captain Leo R Scoles relinquished command of the 639th Squadron to Captain Frank D Bingham. |
