Section II COMMENTARY |

On 15 May 1959 open house was held here in conjunction with Armed Forces Day. The site was visited by over 300 people from surrounding communities. First Annual Commanders Reception was held on June 21, 1959. The reception was held in the base recreation hall with about 110 guests attending. An IG inspection was held during the week of the 14th May 1959 by an inspection team from 30th Air Division (SAGE). Inspection was satisfactory. |
