Operations - Three SAC B-47 overflys were made during this month. They were "Taxi Driver", "Blue Chip" and "Air Blast". Tracings were made of these flights, but no intercept action was taken. The installation of 7 new Microwave lines to Mont Apica was completed and made serviceable. Intercepts by the unit for this month were 118 All Weather and 4 Day, practice and tactical.
Administration - This month saw the handing over of command by W/C Underhill to W/C Lawrence. Farewell parties given by all messes to W/C Underhill. Officers Mess held a mess dinner to welcome the new CO and wish bon voyage to departing CO. The Bishop (RC) of Amos visited the Station. Benediction was held in the chapel and a reception took place in the Officer’s Mess. Helicopter visits from Bagotville now routine. June promotion list confirmed as substantive, the rank of F/L Dumais, COpO.

Operations - Exercise "Deep Rock" took place this month. A limited GCI state was maintained by this unit. "Big Noise" was declared at 0002Z on the 19th and an alert of the unit followed; nothing materialized. "Big Noise" again was declared at 1830Z on the 22nd and an alert was sounded on the unit. Seven splashes of B-47 aircraft resulted from intercepts set up by Scooter 6 and 11. The exercise terminated at 1315Z on the 23rd. Practice and tactical intercepts by the unit for the month were 67 All Weather and 15 Day.
1 Aug - 31 Aug 55
Operations - Another B-47 overfly took place this month, nicknamed "Clear Road". One intercept was made against this overfly. A decided increase in the amount of CGI control done by the unit was recorded, with 141 All Weather and 2 Day interceptions.
Administration - A Sports weekend was arranged with Senneterre. They brought their men’s and ladies softball teams and were entertained as guests of the station. The inter-station Kent Trophy was retained by our men’s softball team in a decisive victory over the Senneterre team. A good time was enjoyed by all. S/L Greig was transferred to AMC and replaced by F/L Jordan of ADC HQ and new CTSO. F/L Southwood, SMO, was transferred to Chatham and replaced by F/L Haworth. By the end of this month most of the old controller staff has been transferred away and replaced by the following: F/O Ball, F/O Guylar, F/O Ewasick, F/O Torseth, F/O Grandy, F/O Birch, F/O Lloyd, F/O Keil and F/O Bygrave. S/L Shaw was posted in from Staff College to eventually replace the COpO, F/L Dumais. Our energetic SWO, Sgt. Richardson transferred to Calgary and replaced by Sgt. Kincaid.

Operations - During the early part of this month, a high level overfly of the area was made by RAF Canberra aircraft. Tracings were made by this unit. An increased CGI state was attempted this month with reasonable success. Sneak friendly faker raids were made by CF-100 aircraft and on the 9th, one intercept of these aircraft was made by this unit. Scooter became responsible for it’s own identification on the 12th day. Scooter was also granted the scramble prerogative for one aircraft from Station Bagotville. Intercepts for the month totalled 214 All Weather and 7 Day.
Administration - Battle of Britain Sunday was observed this month. A Station Parade and Memorial Service were held in the Chapel and Station Theatre. The highlight of the month was the visit on 26 Sep by A/V/M Wray, AOC ADC, to this unit. The AVM arrived in mid-morning by Otter, landing on Mauser Lake. The AVM managed to keep up with a busy itinerary which included briefings by the CO and Flight Commanders, inspection visits to all areas of the Station. He left in the Otter late in the afternoon. The CO departed for St. Hubert on Friday, 30 Sep to attend a conference of all ADC unit commanders. Most of the problems and suggestions submitted by this unit were placed on the agenda. S/L Shaw departed to Tyndall Air Force Base Florida for Controller’s Course.

Operations - A two week check of Solar Interference was made this month. Multiple fighter control increased and a total of 312 All Weather intercepts were made.
Administration - Halloween Station Dance very successful.
1 Nov - 30 Nov 55
Operations - Preparation for the coming exercise "Cracker Jack" were commenced. Scope and table cameras were installed. The unit was informed it would maintain an EW state for the exercise and that all the controllers would be moving out on TD to the southerly GCI’s. A "Cocked Pistol" was declared by Sector on the 30th. 305 All Weather and 9 Day intercepts were made during the month.
Administration - An Armistice Day Parade was held in the village of Parent. The Station was visited by Senior Officers of a tri-service board to investigate possibility of isolation allowance for Parent. This issue is being pursued constantly and the latest results are encouraging.
