The 1955 Pest Control programme – Swing Fog – became effective this date. It is expected to have two aerial sprays; one between 2 – 6 Jun and one 18 – 22 Jun. These operations will be carried out by 412 Squadron Rockcliffe. Summer dress becomes compulsory this date.

There were two power failures, one five minutes and one fifteen minutes, plus one planned interruption of five hours, 25 minutes, with the station being supplied from diesel power.

The Unit Barrack Account check commenced 24 Nov, but has not yet been finalized.

Clothing parades were held twice a month with approximately 70 attending per parade.

Civilian tailor in attendance once per month, handling an average of ten each time.

During the period there was a complete revamping of the supply organization including new organization chart, new and more detailed duty analysis, almost completely new physical layout, new stock control locations and SSO’s office. Space is now utilized to better advantage and much time is saved by Stock Control staff. Telephones are now installed in R&I section, clothing, stock control and the SSO’s office. Interior of the building was repainted. Completed review of Stock Control cards almost completed. Inactive card trays set up. A chart of Supply returns and lockup inspections was set up. A lockup is now provided for the laundry inventory.
