    Section II

    COMMENTARY

During this reporting period (1 November – 31 December 1958) Brigadier General Gillespie visited the squadron and conducted the fall "Ship Shape" inspection. The 915th Squadron placed fifth in the 31st Air Division standings. A reception and dinner party was planned for General Gillespie and was well attended by all the squadron officers and their wives, and the Commander’s Community Advisory Council from the local area.

On 23 December 1958 equipment was received to convert our present radar (AN/FPS-3C) to an AN/FPS-20A. Conversion should take place in the 3rd or 4th quarter FY 59.

This squadron will be transferred from CADF to FADF effective 1 Jan 59. Division headquarters will be 37th Air Division (Defense) at Madison, Wisconsin.
