108th AC&W Squadron – As Indicated


108th AC&W Squadron

The 152nd AC&W Group was a part of the National Guard located at White Plains, NY. Federal recognition was granted in March 1948. The 152nd AC&W Group and a number of associated units such as the 105th, 106th, 107th, 108th and the 920th AC&W Squadrons were all selected to proceed overseas (Canada) in 1952. These radar squadrons provided radar covereage at locations such as Goose Bay, Stepenville and Red Cliff while construction of permanent Pinetree Line radar sites was in progress. Operational control to Pinetree Line long range radar stations took place in 1953.
