This is of photo of the Beaverbank Flyers of 1961-1962. We won the title in the Halifax league that year. RCAF Station Beaverbank didn't have enough players to form a team that year so we teamed up with personnel from Maritime Air Command who were in the same situation and went under the name of the Beaverbank Flyers. It was the best military team I have ever played on. We beat everyone in sight that year including the Greenwood Bombers and the Military College in Montreal. I would say about half of the team was from Beaverbank and half from MAC.
