1957 - Additional Details - Ken James

Beaverbank was like all of the other primary sites, a complete village unto itself -- with a number of facilities such as a gymnasium, an indoor pool, tennis courts, fire hall, and PMQ's. There would have been about 500 military people there in all -- what with all of the support staff. I would guess there were about 250 FtrCops stationed in Beaverbank. I was there from 1957 to 1960. The station was located some 20 miles from Halifax, near the suburb of Sackville.
