Mont Apica, QC
Photographs

The Search & Rescue team at RCAF Station Mont Apica did a "Black Fly" control program in the spring and summer months. There were five two man teams with a Cpl., W/O, F/O, and the C/O in charge. The SAR Team built the cabin which is shown in these photos. Everything except the logs for the walls were carried from the station to the site of the cabin. The cabin was five miles from the station. The map depicts the area which we controlled. The center depicts the location of the station and each circle represents a mile from the station. It took three weeks to do this whole area. We worked every day, rain or shine, except Sunday. The last week of the month we went on a fishing trip for rest and relaxation.
