The photos depicted in this section continue from the previous group which contained photos taken during the drive to Pagwa.
Note the year 1912 on a Pagwa River bridge pier - 13 June 2002.
That was the year the river was crossed and the year that Pagwa River began as a community.

It was now time to continue our trip to the remains of the radar station. We had a choice of parking our vehicle, crossing the bridge on foot, and walking a distance of approximately a mile and a half to the remains to see exactly what was left of this facility. We elected to drive across the Pagwa River bridge. My wife has a fear of falling between the bridge timbers if she walked across the bridge, even though the space is only six inches. She closed her eyes while I drove. It was a slow crossing because of the bumpiness but on a quiet summer day it is relatively safe and easy, as long you do not get distracted. The crossing took about five minutes.
