1998 - Location of the Domestic Site – Ren L'Ecuyer

September, 1998

We left off at the right fork in the road (by the gate) and headed up the hill to check out the remains of the Operations site area. Had we carried (left) on the Blackwater Road for another 0.7 km, we would have arrived at the Domestic site. The first thing that is noticed is that the original guard house has been converted into a General Store.

It was at this location that I took a left turn, and continued left throughout the entire domestic site, taking photos of everything possible. All of the building identifications made in this document have been taken from a Department of National Defence, Station Construction Engineering, CFS Baldy Hughes, BC, site plan drawing dated 6 January 1984.
