History:HMS Raccoon (Lt.Cdr. J.N. Smith, R.C.N.R.) was torpedoed and sunk in position 49.01N, 67.17W by the German submarine U-165 while QS-33 in the St. Lawrence river. 37 of the crew went down with the ship, there were no survivors.
