WEEKLY INTELLIGENCE REPORT

3 Nov 44

The WD Barracks were inspected by the Officer Commanding this afternoon, and were found to be in satisfactory condition. S/O FE Herbin and a party of 12 WDs left for Terrace to be week-end guests of the RCEMC. A number of WDs attended a dance in the Navy Drill Hall this evening.

4 Nov 44

WDs were entertained by the Soo-Suds Regiment tonight. The Terrace party attended the RCEMC dance this evening. Three RTOs were posted to Pat Bay, one Clk Ops to No 2 Detachment, and one chef to WAC for discharge.

5 Nov 44

A Service show "Northern Stars" played in the WD Canteen this evening for the enjoyment of all personnel. The Terrace party returned to the Station this evening with glowing reports of their week-end. F/O WS Dee, ADCO returned from Temporary Duty at WAC.

6 Nov 44

Cpl JNE Cassidy, one of the few "old timers" left at No 4 Detachment, started a 14 day leave this evening, to be married in Alberta. Her shift gave a small party for her in the Canteen before train time. The WDs were confined to camp until 2100 hours for the purpose of attending education classes. Basketball practice at 2100 hours for the WDs One RTO was SOS to Patricia Bay, one Service Police to Boundary Bay, and one Teletype Operator to WAC.

Cooking Class at 1900 hours. Cpl PM McKenzie, who attended the Crafts Course in Vancouver, started a Needlework Class this evening. The group will meet each week, and will be working with felt, looms, etc.

The big news of partial WD demobilization broke this morning, and was the main topic of conversation all over theStation. Three applications were received from weary airwomen before noon. Good turnout for mixed bowling tonight. One Service Police was TOS from Boundary Bay.

9 Nov 44

Victory Loan Sales have reached $7,800, leaving us still $800 short of our objective. A number of WDS attended the 102 Coast Battery Dance at Barrett this evening. The WD Basketball Team played the CWAC this evening. Final:WD - 27, CWAC -26
