DISBANDMENT OF NO 4 FILTER DETACHMENT, PRINCE RUPERT, BC
(This Order cancels SOO 180)

INFORMATION

1. Improved communications on the Pacific Coast permit the disbandment of 4 Filter Detachment, Prince Rupert, BC.

INTENTION

2. It is intended to disband 4 Filter Detachment, Prince Rupert, BC.

Effective Date

3. 4 Filter Detachment, Prince Rupert, BC, is to become inactive and disband effective 15 Dec/44.

Personnel

4. AOC, WAC, is to arrange the withdrawal of personnel on or before 15 Dec/44.

Establishment

5. The establishment for this Detachment is to be cancelled effective 15 Dec/44.

Equipment

6. CO, RCAF Station, Prince Rupert, is to arrange the withdrawal of all equipment (other that that being turned over to Canadian Army), including non-secret publications, forms and stationery on charge to the OC, 4 Filter Detachment.

Accounting - Public Imprest, Non-Public Funds and Equipment Accounting

7. Accounting action is to be taken in accordance with instructions contained in AFHQ letter, file 1000-1-70 (AMAF/DA), dated 29 Feb/44, addressed to all commands, and with AFAO A.20/46 in regard to non-public funds and equipment.

Documents

8. Disposal of documents is to be in accordance with regulations laid down in KR (Air).

Buildings and Property

9. AOC,WAC, is to convene a Board of Officers to take over all buildings and property on charge to OC, 4 Filter Detachment, and is to arrange their temporary transfer to the Canadian Army, with the exception of the Operations and Filter Rooms in Building 1 which are to be sealed, and the PCS Repeater Station which is to be the responsibility of RCAF Station, Prince Rupert.

Reports and Liaison

10. AOC, WAC, is to inform AFHQ when all action in connection with the disbandment of 4 Filter Detachment, Prince Rupert, has been completed.
