Communiqué No. 6
Lowering clouds and occasional showers reduced air activity to some extent today. The Bureau of Weather Statistics in Hellimer announced that more rain has fallen over the area in the last two days than in the previous two days.
Extensive patrols were carried out by our fighters over one important air base yesterday. Six enemy heavy transport aircraft heavily laden with troops were shot down in flames over Crehange Cite.
Two massed raids of enemy fighter-bombers escorted by jet fighters failed to reach their objective – an important fighter base. The raids were aborted and it is believed the aircraft returned to Westonia with a complete complement of armament.
This morning 14 enemy fighter-bombers were destroyed according to a release made by a fighter base of some importance. The Westonian squadron was defeated before reaching its objective.
On the Saaralbe Sector, General Champcloche of "Dare not" fame, reports that Westonia "nearly dared" but changed its mind. He also prophesied that the war would be over in six weeks with the Fantasian flag "flying high and proud in the winner’s corner".
Our Elvange correspondent writes of a strange phenomenon wherein cities appear to be changing geographical position. "Whether this is related to three or four dimensional characteristics" he puzzles, "it is difficult to say". The quaint Flute de Fletrange believes that "the atomic bomb" is in someway connected, whereas the Trompette de Tetting believes Mercator, if alive, could supply the answer.
