    I can remember, at the age of 5, the shock of seeing bleached bones, piled upon each other, through the dusty windows of this monument. In fact, it's one of my most vivid memories - that and accompanying my father through cemeteries and bunkers as he doggedly pursued history in his quest to understand the eternal question, "why"?
