An amusing story related by Jean-Guy refers to when the Maggie arrived in Glasgow and the squadron was disembarking. High ranking officers using the forward exit were greeted by the ship's captain with a salute and a kind word. Others were to disembark through the aft exit.
Jean-Guy, battered by the storm at sea, was looking for the quickest way off the ship. He was closer to the forward exit so, with his kit bag on his shoulder he engaged the forward exit to be greeted by the saluting captain who asked him: "Did you have a good trip?"... "No, Sir! and I don't ever want to see another ship again!" The captain's jaw dropped almost to the deck. An aide next to the captain had to explain: "Don't mind him Sir, he is still seasick".
And that's how Jean-Guy made his exit.
