The town of Crowland has in the middle of its main street this ancient bridge. The bridge is quite unique as it has three entrances/exits. It was built at a "T" shaped junction of two streams that divided the town into three distinct parts. With such a bridge design it made it possible to go from any one of the three parts of the town to either of the other two parts of town using just the one bridge. Pretty clever eh? As to that worn old statue on the one bridge entrance, there is a long standing controversy about it. Once school of thought says it is a statue of Jesus Christ, the other says it's a statue of King John. Quite a disparity in characters I'd say!
