The Liberation of the Netherlands took place between September 1944 and April 1945. It was a key strategic operation, closing in on Germany from all sides.
Personnel from the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and Royal Canadian Telecommunications Branch made incalculable contributions to the Allied efforts to win the war in Europe, including maintaining the lines of communication, adapting to rapidly changing environments and using innovative techniques and technologies throughout the many operations.
In 2020, we celebrate and honour the 75th anniversary of the Liberation. We remember the sacrifice of the personnel from the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and Royal Canadian Telecommunications Branch who fought to bring freedom to the Netherlands and celebrate the bond shared between our two nations.
